Been watching a lot of dvds lately and thought i might give my opinion on them. (And if anyone gets on here and starts debating and disagreeing with me on my opinion, youll be on your own cos i dont check or update very often and i dont give a shit).
Anyways ill start and end with some movies:
Donnie Darko - Apparently a has a cult following and i can see why. This was a very strange movie, but thats why i liked it. It had a dark side along with some humour and an evil bunny rabbit. It also put a different spin on time travel and the universe. The only problem was that it was a little hard to follow towards the end, however if the video store had of supplied me with the extra special features dvd i was meant to get with it, i would have understood the ending by watching the special features.
Creep - Another strange movie, but a good movie. I quite enjoyed this movie as it satisfied my sadist, gory hunger. Its has some suspense, gore, blatant bloody murder (especially the murder of some homeless people, which was funny and actually helpful, because we dont need them, and it helps to clean up the streets) and a hot german woman. Its an english film, which is surprising cos the only good things to come out of england movie/actor wise is bill nighy, alan rickman, kate beckinsdale and underworld.
The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I thought this was the shittest movie ever. What made it worse was the fact that heaps of people said it was good, so i was expecting something great and i was totally dissapointed when it turned out to be a crap movie. Dont get me wrong i loved the violence, but it had too much hammer action by leather face and not enough chainsawing of limbs. It also left some questions unanswered. Like why he wore a leather mask. i did however like the part where the cripple got owned by the chainsaw. It just proved that god really did hate him.
Remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I liked this movie a whole lot more than the original. It had a better storyline, it answered the questions the original didnt and it had a lot more chainsaw action in it.
The Warriors - This is a 1970's cult gang classic. This movie was solid because first of all it didnt have any wogs in it, the gangs had cool getups on and had cool afros and 70's hair styles, and because it wasnt a typical dodgy 70's movie. Everything about it was good. i highly recommend it.
The Wanderers - I saw this movie because it was the rival gang movie to the warriors in 1979, and wanted to see if it really did rival the warriors or just sucked dick. It sucked dick. First of all it had wogs in it, and second of all they were the main characters. Instead of just being a movie about brawling, it delved into issues such as teen gangs, teen love and angst in 1963. i wouldnt even give this movie half a star. i would rate napoleon dynamite higher, and that was the shittest movie of all time.
Marci X - I really dont know why i waste my time sometimes. All the respect i once had for damon wayans is now gone. It wasnt the worst movie i have ever seen but it just had a lot of shit corny moments. For eg when lisa kudrow (who also stars in the movie) couldnt rap for shit and a second later was rapping like she was a pro. The dialogue was really poor as well. Dont watch it.
This is Spinal Tap - I saw this movie a while ago now at a friend's place. Now when its about 2 or 3 in the morning i cant stay awake during a movie, but this time i could. It was a top movie. I loved it. It was very cleverly done. The way they sattirically did a fictional documentary on an english band on tour. However i was extremely devasted when i found out they werent a real band. The music in the movie was awesome, and it was good how the actors played the instruments and sung the songs. The english accents that the american actors put on was good as well. Its a definite must see.
Anyway im going now. I think ive typed enough for one day. At least it should keep everyone happy for a while.

 October 17 its been a whilewell hello,
its been a while hasnt it. ive been lazy and havent updated my blog for ages. Its only cos steph nagged me to update it, which im glad she did.
Ive been up to alot since last time. Lets see. In april during the holidays i went to China with mum and a group of about 30-40 ppl.
I finished tafe at the end of June and have been working at maccas casually since then, which has been utterly painful, and have been close to beating some ppl many times
 . On that note i got a job at Ettalong Beach Club doing event/conference work, which i havent started yet.me and my 3 best mates, Matt, Scott and pete have gone to the leagues club for bout 12 weeks straight, but unfortunately pete couldnt make it for all of those nights.
I saw Steph when she came home for her holidays prior to the school holidays, who i dont get to see very often and i missed very much, but she only stayed for 2 weeks
 . However me, steph, matt and scott had many good times while steph was home (leagusey, stephs shindig).These hols Matt and i went to Vietnam and Cambodia for 3 whole weeks, and we had the best time ever
 . It went too quick and im depressed to be home. However we bought alot of stuff like 11 shirts, jeans, belts, hammocks, jewellry, shoes, coolie hats and lots of other good stuff.Anyway thats bout it for now, but take care and there might be an update soon. If ur lucky and im not too lazy.
bye May 08 hey every1hey everyone, my name is james , and this is my very own space. its not that good, YET! but i will improve on it, and eventually it will be wicked. Anyway abit about me. hmmmmmmmmmm, im 18, i like tv, i love bruce lee (in a non-gay way. And yes i knew u were all thinking that, but get ur minds out of the gutter, im not gay, actually quite far from it). anyway i also like karate, hanging out with friends, spongebob, dragonball z, and various other japanese anime. i would like to throw a hello to all my friends, including matt, pete, scott and steph. Hope you guys are enjoying my space. And steph i hope you enjoyed your ball, i wish i could have been there, it would have been awesome. The photos look cool aswell. well i got back from china about 2 weeks ago, so to all of my friends, stop reading now cause you have prob already heard it and wont wanna hear it cause itll bore you. But it was a wicked trip, and have gotten over my depression of not being on hols. I had lots of fun and enjoyed every1s company that went. anyway i will try my hardest to keep this space updated for any1 who wants to view it. have fun, cya. |
